Veiligheidsvesting / Reflections (2007)

Since I wore my reflective security vest I became noticed.
The yellow fabric and white light sensitive bands concentrated the omnipresent solar beams
hitting me from any direction. It made me the focal point of attention, something
I had been desiring since I was young.

The Boulevard. The bastion of notice-ability.
People love the most distant possibility, the possibility to be Significant.
The radiant Star.
It drives us, it can’t be driven.
The battle to the top is what makes it worthwhile, I whispered.
Walk on.
